Packaging & branded product presentation
Custom Printed Packaging Boxes for Commercial Orders
Print Norwood supplies custom printed packaging for businesses requiring professional branded boxes for products, retail distribution, ecommerce, promotions and commercial fulfilment. Packaging is quoted according to box style, dimensions, board or substrate, print coverage, quantity, finishing, assembly and delivery.
Packaging is structural as well as visual. Accurate dimensions and material selection matter. Where an existing box is available, provide the sample, photographs or a dieline together with quantity and branding requirements.

Bulk Packaging Printing
Packaging often becomes more economical at commercial quantities because structural setup, dies, printing and finishing costs can be distributed across the run. The economical quantity varies by box style and manufacturing method.
For repeat products, retaining an approved dieline and specification simplifies reorders. For multi-branch distribution, provide a packing and delivery schedule before production begins.
Packaging Artwork and Dielines
Packaging artwork should be built on an approved dieline and prepared for the intended production process. Important checks include bleed, folds, glue areas, safe zones, colour mode, image resolution and barcode positioning.
Do not approve high-volume production until dimensions, material, artwork and structural fit have been confirmed. Design and artwork preparation can be quoted separately where required.

Custom Packaging FAQs
What information do you need to quote a box?
Send quantity, dimensions, box style, material, print requirements, finishing, delivery location and required date. A dieline, sample or photographs help.
Can you reproduce an existing packaging sample?
An existing sample can be assessed as a reference. Final production depends on dimensions, materials and available manufacturing methods.
Do larger quantities reduce unit cost?
They often do because setup and tooling costs can be spread across more units. The actual saving depends on the specification.
Can you help with packaging artwork?
Artwork preparation and design assistance can be quoted where required.

A packaging quote is only as accurate as the dimensions and construction brief.
Boxes and packaging depend on finished dimensions, material, structure, print coverage and finishing. Send the actual product or dimensional requirement so the production route can be assessed correctly.
Include these details in the RFQ
- Internal or finished dimensions
- Board / material requirement
- Box style, structure or reference sample
- Print coverage and artwork status
- Lamination, foil, inserts or other finishing
- Quantity, packing, deadline and delivery destination
Send the complete specification once.
Attach artwork or the issued RFQ where available. We can then assess the requested quantity, finish and delivery requirement against the same brief.
A packaging quote starts with the pack structure, not the artwork alone.
For boxes and cartons, dimensions, material and construction are part of the product itself. Give the structural requirement before comparing print and finishing prices.
See custom packaging manufacturing for larger programmes →Dimensions & construction
Supply finished or internal dimensions as required and describe the box style, closure, joint and how the product must fit.
Board or material
Corrugated grade, carton board, rigid construction and other materials have different strength, print and finishing characteristics.
Print & surface finish
State colours, print coverage, lamination, foil, spot finishes or other treatments that form part of the approved appearance.
Tooling, inserts & packing
Die-cutting tools, foam or board inserts, dividers, assembly, flat packing and delivery configuration can be separate cost drivers.
Practical questions before you request pricing
Do you need the product dimensions or the box dimensions?
For fitted packaging, provide the product dimensions and the required box dimensions where known. Also state whether the measurements are internal or external so the structural brief is unambiguous.
Is a die always required?
Not always. Tooling depends on the chosen structure, dimensions and production method. Where a custom die or other tooling is required, it should be identified separately in the quotation.
What should packaging artwork include?
Supply the approved artwork against the correct dieline when one is available. Keep structural dimensions and artwork version control together so printing is not separated from the pack construction.
How should I compare packaging quotes?
Compare the same dimensions, material or board grade, print specification, finishing, tooling, inserts, assembly, packing and delivery. These details can materially change the result even when both quotes simply say “printed boxes”.
