Book Printing for African Markets from South Africa

Print Norwood provides book and publication printing for African markets from our Norwood, Johannesburg production base. This route is intended for publishers, authors, universities, schools, NGOs, churches, training organisations and procurement teams that need professionally manufactured books supplied to destinations outside South Africa.

We do not claim branches or production facilities in destination countries. Printing is produced in Johannesburg; cross-border delivery or handover to a buyer-appointed freight partner is quoted against the actual project.

Books, manuals and educational publications

  • Softcover and perfect/PUR-bound books
  • Hardcover and premium publications where suitable
  • Textbooks, educational workbooks and teacher material
  • Training manuals and programme guides
  • NGO, church and institutional publications
  • Multiple titles, editions and language versions

Priority routes: Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Zambia

For country-specific delivery and RFQ planning, use our Zimbabwe printing route, Mozambique printing route or Zambia printing route. We also support quotation planning for Botswana, Namibia, Eswatini, Lesotho and Malawi.

What determines the book quotation?

Send the finished size, final page count, colour split, text stock, cover stock, binding, cover finish, quantity per title/version, artwork status, required date and delivery destination. For mixed-language or multi-title projects, add a quantity matrix rather than only one total quantity.

Freight-ready packing

Cross-border publications often need stronger packing control than a local single-destination job. State whether cartons must be separated by title, language, school, district, branch, programme or purchase order; provide the quantity required at each receiving location; and identify a nominated freight forwarder where your organisation uses one.

Publishers, education and NGOs

For structured rollouts, see Publishing, Education & NGO Printing Africa. The sector route covers version control, programme allocations, multi-destination packing and repeat editions without implying translation, educational approval or donor/government endorsement.

Build the cross-border book RFQ

Build an Africa book-printing RFQ or request a formal written quotation.

African Authors & Independent Publishers

For novels, biographies, devotionals, academic books and independent editions, see our African author/self-publishing route. It explains manufacturing specifications, ISBN responsibility, short runs, repeat editions and cross-border packing.

Planning 10,000–500,000+ Books?

Major publisher, textbook and institutional opportunities should use our High-Volume Book Printing Africa route for production bands, title/language matrices and staged logistics. Repeat titles can use the reprint programme.

Major Africa Book & Textbook Programmes

For 100,000–1,000,000+ books across titles, languages or countries, use the Major Printing Contracts route and Executive RFQ Builder.
